Connectwise, purveyor of automation services for managed IT service providers, has finally finished binding its destiny to Axcient’s backup and business continuity platform. Axcient, a data protection specialist for managed service providers (MSPs) operating in the small to medium business (SMB) ecosystem, will benefit from Connectwise’s integration and automation abilities for their partners. The latter’s affiliates will likewise find Axcient’s backup and disaster recovery products at their disposal. Arnie Bellini, Connectwise’s CEO, says relationship will “greatly assist partners who rely on Axcient to safeguard their clients’ data, and provide an easy entry for those who do not yet offer data protection.”
The new synthetic opportunities will cover a variety of critical events, are free of charge for the allies’ partners. Connectwise can now monitor an automatic service ticketing system, which will permit comprehensive customization of notifications, occurring in response to bare metal restores (BMRs), exchange mail, offsite backup, network and device level events.
Axcient’s amalgamation enables this development, blending off-site cloud replication for disaster recovery and compliance with its on-site appliances for restoring, backing up and providing continuity of servers, desktops and laptops. “This level of visibility allows MSPs to more proactively manage client IT environments and to manage more client environments overall,” according to Justin Moore, Axcient’s CEO.
Axcient is renowned for its hybrid data protection platform, which offers both an onsite appliance (giving swift restoration and failover abilities) and a storage cloud, allowing further insurance against unexpected catastrophes. Its primary target markets are education, design and the creative industries, healthcare, hospitality, credit cards, retail, finance and web firms. Connectwise’s essential suite allows IT divisions to centralize their scheduling, tracking, invoicing and reporting. The firm was ranked at 1548 on Inc’s Top 5000 of America’s Fastest Growing Companies, with 206.6% growth during 2009.
